It is a pleasure to present a quarterly report for Q1 consisting of some notable positive steps following our 2025 Strategy.

In line with our forecast for 2024, we have delivered 28% growth on Risk Intelligence System ARR and 27% on total ARR, while churn again this quarter has been 0%.

We have managed to deliver 27% growth in top line i.e. invoiced revenue, while costs have only increased by 3%. For the reported revenue we have seen a growth of 16%, which provides the basis for improved EBITDA with 41% and EBT and net result with 27%.

The cash-flow during the quarter has also been positive with a cash flow from ordinary activities of 1.6M DKK and a net cash flow of 528K DKK. Finally, total debt has been reduced by 1.5M DKK during the period.

The driver behind the growth in revenue is a combination of the launch of the new platform end-2023 and the impact it provides on revenue from existing clients with new pricing and additional features and third-party data selected by the clients. This is what constitutes the strong NRR of 125% (which is only based on System revenues) during Q1. In addition, after the launch of the new version, we have also had a significant increase in the pipeline of potential clients and have secured four maritime and one LandRisk client during the quarter. Finally, there has been growth in our Advisory Services with new clients and more projects.

Risk Intelligence A/S announces today that the company has signed a partnership agreement with Bosch L.OS - Logistics Operating System for integration of Bosch Secure Truck Parking with the LandRisk Logistics as well as referral of Bosch L.OS clients to Risk Intelligence. Through the partnership with Bosch L.OS, users of LandRisk Logistics will be able to seamlessly book and pay for Bosch Secure Truck Parking spaces via the Risk Intelligence System. The integration via Bosch L.OS provides an end-to-end solution for manufacturers and logistics providers.

Risk Intelligence A/S announces today that the company has signed a license agreement with the high value cargo owner for the Risk Intelligence System (LandRisk Logistics).

With the additional development agreement, Risk Intelligence, and the client, will work together to develop an oversight tool as an enhancement to the existing LandRisk Logistics module. This will enable the client to maintain an overview of the routes and truck parking areas selected by their contracted LSPs. It also provides LSPs access to LandRisk Logistics when planning and monitoring logistics routes for the client’s shipments.

Risk Intelligence A/S signs a major contract across several departments of a European Government.

Risk Intelligence has been providing intelligence to the Government’s Navy via the Risk Intelligence System for several years, the new agreement sees that provision grow across several departments. Not only is the access for almost twice as many Risk Intelligence System users but it will also be via an API feed which will enable unclassified intelligence fusion across multiple feeds – facilitating faster sharing and wider internal dissemination.

"The year of 2023 saw the successful completion of two central milestones in the creation of a stable and sustainable platform for growth. On the financial side the funding strategy was successfully completed to remove all short-term loan debt in the balance sheet. On the business side the new platform for the Risk Intelligence System was finalised and launched, which will be the basis for growth in the years to come.

 The new platform has turned the Risk Intelligence System into a whole other product from an intelligence product to an operational maritime security product by integration of new features and third-party data such as AIS. With these options, the client and users can now automate a number of security processes from planning via monitoring to active risk management and avoidance.

 From a business perspective it means that the license model has changed from the old simple model of users and number of vessels operated to a new model with three revenue streams. One is the original, which still forms the basis of the license. The next is selection of applicable features needed by the specific client and third is the selection of third-party data. Subsequently, nearly all clients will have additional features and data and therefore increased license fees."

Risk Intelligence ændrer ARR-opgørelsesmetode

Risk Intelligence har i dag meddelt markedet at de fremover ændrer metoden hvorpå de opgør ARR. ARR har tidligere for Risk Intelligence været bagud rettet. Det betyder at selskabet har opgjort ARR som de seneste 12 måneders ARR-aftaler, altså som ARR der er 100% kendt. Dette er dog ikke den mest gængse måde at opgøre ARR på, der typisk er et tal der kigger fremad. Fremover vil selskabet opgøre ARR som et fremadrette tal. Det betyder ARR vil være de næste 12 måneders estimerede ARR-tal.

Ændringen gør at det bliver lettere at følge den reelle udvikling i ARR-tallet og sammenligne med andre ARR-baserede virksomheder.

Risk Intelligence A/S (“Risk Intelligence” or "the Company") announces that the Company has secured a long-term loan of approx. DKK 6.7 million with board members and one shareholder.

As published during the process of the Rights Issue including in the press release of 11 October 2023 the Company had a commitment of a long-term loan with EIFO, the Danish State Growth fund (former Vækstfonden) as part of the planned funding process. The Company has during December arranged a long-term loan from board members and one shareholder to reach the objective of fully removing short-term loan debt from the balance sheet as of 31 December 2023. The new long-term loan by this replaces the planned EIFO loan.

The majority of the loan (approx. DKK 5 million) is provided by Member of the Board Stig Streit Jensen partly by conversion of short-term debt and partly in cash. Sandbjerg Holding ApS has provided approx. DKK 1.3 million.

MaRisk continues to lead the way in maritime intelligence platforms into 2024. The new Risk Intelligence System has attracted a major container line operator as soon as the year has begun. The Client will have access, not only to Risk Intelligence’s peerless analysis but also automated notifications, AIS fleet tracking, Voyage Intelligence tool and the ability to monitor sanctions all on one System.  

The Client operates over 100 vessels globally and has a well-developed security function who has selected Risk Intelligence as their intelligence partner to support them. Risk Intelligence A/S (“Risk Intelligence” or "the Company") announces the launch of the new Risk Intelligence System platform, which will significantly improve client and user value and create a solid foundation for growth in annual recurring revenue. 

MaRisk has been the benchmark for maritime intelligence platforms since 2008 and became the Risk Intelligence System, when PortRisk was added in 2015. Whilst continued development has been done since the last major platform launch in 2016, the Company is now ready to officially unveil the 4th generation to the market after a soft launch from 01 November to existing clients. 

As part of the 2025 Strategy, it was decided to develop a brand-new platform for the Risk Intelligence System, which should include the best content and features from the existing platform and combine it with new technologies, new user experience and flexible options for selection of add-ons. It was also decided for Risk Intelligence to fully focus on intelligence analysis and subsequently fully outsource the technical development of the new platform to a partner. Risk Intelligence has therefore been developing the new platform in very close cooperation with the partner, Geollect, from the UK, incorporating a new suite of features, as standard, but also has options to upgrade certain users to new optional features – tailoring the platform to suit an increasingly wide array of organisations using the Risk Intelligence System today.
